Treasure Boxes/Fibre And Stitch

I have most of the Quilting Arts Magazines, as when I read my first one a while back I loved it so much that I went and back ordered every issue (apart from a few that had completely sold out). So now I've decided I need to actually do some of the projects that have been featured in the magazine. I've seen many pictures of other Treasure Boxes made, and now it's my turn. I made the first one the size of the template in the magazine - it is soooo cute, as it's quite tiny. The second one I enlarged the template 200%. Both sizes are great. The teeny weeny size would be perfect for holding a gift of jewellery.

Sorry, I'm too lazy to go and get the magazine to see what issue it is - I'll add that in my next post.

FIBRE AND STITCH
Oh, and I should mention FibreandStitch, the new mixed media art zine which will be available in September. Check out this website: http://www.fibreandstitch.com/. I will be subscribing -with such talented ladies involved it's sure to be one not to miss!!

Those are very cute! I keep thinking I ought to try to get some of the back issues of QA. I need to stop thinking about it, and just do it, I guess...

Your treasure boxes are really cool - I really should give these a try. Maybe I can use something from Sue's Mixed media class and turn it into a treasure box.

I always have the intention to start some of the projects from Q.A. but never take the time for it. I think it's great that you did and the result is great too!!

Your boxes came out great! I've only made one, the size given, but would eventually like to make more in a larger size too. P.S. I'm missing those early sold-out QA's too. Thanks, also, for your generous support with Fiber&Stitch.

Those are lovely and what a great idea for gifts of jewelry! Also the ATC swag from the last post - beautiful, I've been an admirer of Muriel's work on flickr.

Diane these are really cool. I've never made these, it's always been on my list of to-do's I just can't seem to get to them. These would be really fun filled with candy or something. I got my missing QA issues off ebay.

Thanks so much for your support for Fibre&Stitch:)

I love the boxes....especially the lavender one! When I read about how you ordered all the back issues I had to smile because I just did that with Cloth Peper Scissors.
