Then I cut it up and now it's a postcard and an ATC.
These 2 postcards were made from a piece I made a while back. I have used the embellisher on a purple wool block I had knitted. I layered pieces of synthetic yarn and bits of wool roving over the knitting and needle punched them. Then I did some FME and zapped with the heat gun.
Lastly I made a couple of bookmarks out of some painted paper towel I had lying around. I really love the feel of the paper towels and have been using these a lot lately. They are great to sew and have a lovely soft feel to them.

What a great idea for the tinsel. I have a bin bag full of it which we don't use anymore but didn't want to throw it out. How did the embellisher feel about the blue plastic.
Love the other pieces on here too, especially the bookmarks - they look really soft, very touchy-feely.
Oh, I do like the two postcards, the colours are wonderful,I wonder, did you felt the purple knitted bit before you embellished it?
All very gorgeous Dianne! I love your creativity - it is very inspiring!
You have been busy Dianne and I love the bookmarks.

Very interesting results. I would never have thought to use those ingredients for an embellishing project.
Now that's something I haven't used before! Great inspiration!
Love your play day! I like the idea of creating art by using up what we have laying around - taking recycling to the Arts.
Oh it's lovely I love the plastic i used plastic in school with the kids, very inspiring.
They all look great - Why is not my stupid computer screen tactile? They make you WANT to feel them... The plastic one is such a great idea!!! (well, on a general basis your ideas are great!!!)
I too am wondering about how the embellisher liked the plastic?? Was is thin plastic? I have loads of paper towels I need to use up - the book mark idea is great.
These gorgeous Dianne, I love the colours of them all, I can't say which one is more beautiful, I just love them all!
Great playday. Love them all. Wondering if the plastic gave off any fumes when zapped? Also, did you felt the knit piece first? Inquiring minds....
Oh you have been doing such lovely things while I have been away. I am drooling over your goodies as well. Happy New Year.
Wow, love them all, but my favourites are the two postcards and bookmarks. Great colourcombinations and interesting choice of material.

Lovely work Dianne, especially like the 2 postcards, great texture. I must do something with all my painted/dyed paper towels too.
Great colors and texture. What weight was the plastic, like a page protector?
I love this post Dianne - particularly the two postcards with the swirls you zapped - love the colours. Very inspirational. Val
