It's about time!!!

Well it's about time that I posted on my blog again!!! All I can say is that I have been very slack, and still not very motivated - but I'm trying to remedy the situation. How, is another matter!!?? Any suggestions welcome!!!!!!!!! We have 2 weeks school holidays here, so I've now found another excuse for not creating or posting - excuses are very easy to come by lately.......

Anyway, I've received a couple of lovely posts from Francoise. Firstly a gorgeous fabric page for our FAF Fabric Page Swap. I love the design. It was accompanied by some beautiful hand dyed fabric. Thankyou so much Francoise. Also, a gorgeous postcard for my October birthday. Thanks again Francoise! I admired these postcards on Francoise blog, and lo and behold, one was for me...... I have been waiting for October to come around all year - now it's my turn and I'm very excited!

This gorgeous woolly sheep ATC, is from Anne in France. I love it -thanks Anne!

Well I haven't been completely uncreative!! My wonderful friend Connie came over the other day and we spent a lovely afternoon making felted vessels. Mine is the purple/pink one (of course), and Connie's is the green one. We had a blast making these - chatting, rolling, chatting, rolling - took us about 4 hours, inbetween cups of tea, bickies and a quick drive to the bus stop to pick the kids up from school.

Love the felted vessels ! There's angelina in them too? Everone has low energy inspiration times .. generally followed by some marvelous strokes of genius !

Diane I so agree with Gunnel ~ sometimes there's just overload and we all need to step back, its good to see you posting again but I think everyone needs a break now and again, perhaps some quality time during the school hols with the children is what you need and then when they return to school ~ you'll be re-energised and raring to go!!!! (on another holiday). Im sure you'll soon get back on track, what I do is doodle (anything thats in my head) its amazing what can lead from there. Be kind to yourself and enjoy the time together.

I love the vessels ~ I would never have guessed who the purple one belonged to!!

Dianne, those felted vessels are wonderful. I've been wanting to try those for a long time and other things just seem to come up that are higher on the priority list. One of these days though....

Lovely postcards Diane you are a lucky lady. I love those felted vessels. I can't wait to get started on my felt class to start experimenting with felt.

I have been just the same of late DI, I was going to say seasonal affected disorder, but with you on a different hemisphere maybe not! I have taken the bull by the horns and started some more swaps because at least they will keep me motivated But I agree with everyone else, take a break, do something different and do what makes you happy, life's too short for anything else!

Inspiration will return! It just takes it's own sweet time occasionally. The felted vessels are very striking - what can be better than creating something with friends!

Glad you have had a break and come back refreshed. I take a break every now and again from blog land and it is good to regroup.

I ADORE the little vessels you and Connie made. And what fun you had!!
